I love him for his Let it Die (feat. Flowsik of Aziatix) single.
The English version is a total opposite or rather a different take on the track’s story. The Korean version speaks about a man who insists to get back with an old lover whom he shared bad memories with. Stalker like, if you ask me. The Video for that was heavy and full of pain with well blended storyline and location shoots. It was featured on Arirang TV’s Purely Pops a while back.

This English version that I’m listening to however shows a man who tells a heartbroken, pain stricken woman to let go of a lover who’s love is no longer there. Instead she can turn her back on that failed love, put it to rest and let it die and be with someone else, him (Brian Joo) instead.

Subject: Joanna Wang, The things we do for love

Just like most Asian singers/performers who is fluent in English (or was born or raised in English speaking countries) they sometimes offer Double CDs (ie Mandarin/English , Hangul/English).
This is perhaps the reason why I started listening to Joanna Wang’s soft melodious voice. Her rendition of “Raindrops keep falling on my Head (Four Tops)” gave me an automatic smile and chills and heartwarming feeling. I love rain and positivism and it is captured perfectly in a somewhat old Hollywood yet modern Taipei MV. Subdued colors, slurry voice and sweet background. Perfect.
